We saw icebergs! Driving around the coves before searching out our cruise we found a good sized iceberg with it's wee babies. Mike found a tiny chunk right at the shore and managed to break off a wee chunk... Everyone tried a bit and now they are eating them like Freezies. Opportunity of a lifetime:
It made an amazing sizzling sound as it melted in the water and the air escaped from all the tiny pockets. Crazy to think how old it is!
Charlie, the pooch, managed to get hold of a chunk of the kids' iceberg for his very own. He proudly carried it around as it poured water from his mouth until it fully melted. He was just as proud of his ice as we were lol
We have been told that part of the traveling tradition here is to mark that you have been here. Spray-paint in hand, we have left our marks.
That bring said, Mackenzie has also left a little something more behind. In all of the excitement around collecting the iceberg chunk she may have left her phone behind somewhere on a little bumpy road. We are pretty sure it was on the back of the truck when we took off from the wharf... Hmmmm... Sound familiar? (http://bctrip2015.blogspot.ca/2015/08/lost-but-not-found-in-medicine-hat.html?m=1)
