July 12 - signed out but not gone

So.... Yesterday was busy and we didn't update so well.  Oops.  We drove around and explored the little touristy shops in our area of PEI.  Drove past Lucy Maud Montgomery's birthplace and our campsite is actually just down the road from the Anne of Green Gables museum and golf course.  As much as I loved Anne of Green Gables growing up, I would be the only one in our family to appreciate the opportunity.  I love the memories I have of the show and I am totally okay with skipping the related-sights.  That being said, we stopped at a few other places and spent a little money.  Mostly on food.

We tried the much-touted Cows Ice Cream (small portions but Yummmmm) and shared poutine before heading back to the campsite.  Mack also wrecked her flip flops so we found some for her.

We headed "home" to Dragon and changed for the beach.  I didn't want to drag the phone down to the beach so most of our pics are on the waterproof camera and await upload.  We spent many hours catching crab, tiny fish and lobster, yes lobster, by hand.  The kids even cajoled me into catching a crab myself.  It was kind of a fun moment, gotta admit.  Mike should have that picture on his blog.

HERE GOES THE HEALTHY EATING..... 
At the last possible moment we ran back to the trailer, showered at the public bathroom and raced into town to try Peir 15 and their famous 60foot salad bar.  Mike got crab legs and we discovered that the kids actually like crab!  HOORAY.... I think.
Bloated, we played at a little park for a bit and then headed back to Dragon for bedtime.  Everyone is exhausted.

TODAY
We all slept in a bit today and then we sent the kids off to the beach again while the adults tidied and packed up the campsite.  Once done we dumped out the trailer's bowels and the kids turned in their booklets to get their Explorer dogtags.

Now in Charlottown we had lunch at a Dublin Pub and are awaiting our turn on a seal and lobster-trap tour.  Matthew is desperate for a boat ride and was sad that today isn't our turn on the big ferry to NFLD so we are doing a tour for now.
